    Failure Law and Support Technology for the Crossheading at Fully-mechanized Caving Face in deep Extra-thick Coal Seams

    • The failure mechanism of transporting crossheading surrounding rock in 402103 fully-mechanized caving face in a deep coal mine of Binchang Mining Area in Shanxi province was analyzed, the results showed that crossheading surrounding rock in deep coal mine had the characteristics of big deformation, asymmetry, complex stress distribution law of surrounding rock and difficult support, etc. Based on the support concept, which was the coupling method of pressure relief, pressure yielding and anti-pressure, the support and on-site monitoring program for transporting crossheading in 402103 fully-mechanized caving face was put forward. The practice showed that the support parameters of crossheading were reasonable, and the support effect met the needs of safety production.
