Abstract
The five different sizes of rocks specimen under point load was carried on numerical simulation by RFPA2D, the paper analyzed the relevant problems affecting the rock test under point load from acoustic emission and loading end stress aspects. The results showed that the end stress effect had little affect on the rock with height to diameter ratio between 1:1 and 1:2 under point load, otherwise, it was evident to affect the test results because of end stress effect.
