    Roof Type and Sedimentary Environment Analysis of Main Coal Seam in Xieqiao Mining Area

    • Taking the main coal seam roof in Xieqiao Mining Area as research object, statistics and summaries of the roof lithologic features and type are carried out with previous research results. On this basis, sedimentary environments of 13-1, 11-2, and 8 coal seam roof are analyzed. It is indicated that lower soft and upper hard roof is an ideal roof type which is in line with the general law of strata development and also conducive to roof control and management. Different rocks are formed in the different sedimentary environments, and significant differences are also showed on the each sedimentary unit in the longitudinal direction.
