    Failure Mode Analysis of the Jointed Controlled Loess Slope Based on the Stereographic Projection

    • Using dips software, combined with the analysis of field measuring data in an open-pit mine's jointed controlled loess slope of coal transportation, the paper obtained that the main loess slope failure modes is toppling failure, wedge failure in this region though analysis of stereographic projection, the planar landslide is less. According to the dips software analysis results, investigation and monitoring should be strengthened for the dumping of damage control joint and formed wedge failure's loess joint by using swedge software. prevention and control measures should be taken before the joint expanded.
