Experimental Studies on New Minerals From Clay Mineral Under DC Electric Field

More Information
  • Published Date: August 19, 2013
  • The properties of montmorillonitic clay mineral are water-expanding, argillization and strong dilation. Under 0.25 V·cm-1 and 0.5 V·cm-1 electric gradient and 1 mol·L-1CaCl2 electrolyte concentration, montmorillonitic clay mineral is modified. The mineral content and new minerals are studied after modified. The content of montmorillonitic is reduced, and the new minerals are gibbsite, calcite, and anhydrite.
