    Overlying Strata Water Gushing Laws and Its Prevention Measures of No.3 Coal in Shanxi Formation

    • According to mine water gushing data of the No.3 coal in Shanxi formation from Yankuang Group,the study summarized relevant factors and water gushing laws from overlying strata of No.3 coal in Shanxi Formation. The water gushing strength has relation to mining area (new mining areas and shallow buried areas), structural development status, strata behaviors, the thickness of the mining face, and workface advancing rate, etc. Water gushing from overlying strata, runoff sudden, fierce and large amounts of water, has the features of approximately periodical trend change. The study summarized specific prevention measures to control water gushing from overlying strata of No.3 coal, which can provide certain reference for water gushing controlling for the mines with similar mining conditions.
