Based on the scientific explanation of coal and gas outburst pre-warning definition and principles, the paper discusses research status and development trend of coal and gas outburst pre-warning technology, pre-warning index and critical value, and put forward shortcomings and prospects of coal and gas outburst pre-warning technology from the pre-warning information, pre-warning time and the model of pre-warning. The analysis shows that non-contact gas pre-warning technology can achieve continuous, dynamic analysis, forecasting, pre-warning outburst hidden danger and the trends of outburst danger under the premise of without affecting the excavation work, which makes mine outburst prevention work more targeted.
