    Study on Inhibition Characteristics of New Gel on Coal by Thermal Analysis

    • In this paper, it studied the inhibition characteristics of new gel on coal by thermal analysis, which was significant for preventing coal spontaneous combustion with gel. By using thermal analyzer STA449C, it made quantitative analysis for water solidification and thermal characteristics of the new gel, then it made comparative analysis for the effect of the new gel, MgCl2 and sodium silicate inhibitor on the inhibition performance of Huaibei gas fat coal, Yima long flame coal and Yangquan anthracite. The results indicated that solid water rate of the new gel was above 86.6% and its physical inhibition performance was the best before 86.8 ℃.When the temperature was raised to 126.5 ℃, the new gel dehydration half-life was 10.75 min, which provided a reference for the gel inhibition aging length. The gel could be used to prevent the contact of coal with oxygen and inhibit oxidation rate of coal, and metal ions in the gel was absorbed chemically by loose coal to inhibit free radical chain reaction during the coal oxygen reaction.The inhibition effect was that long flame coal>gas fat coal> anthracite, which decreased with the increase of coal metamorphism.
