Abstract
In this paper, it described the experimental results of the ice slurry and cold water in the cooling system. The cooling capacity range of this system was from 3.0 to 7.5 kW.The ice slurry was generated by indirect heat exchange, it implemented heat exchange by using the glycol solution of low temperature -10 ℃and binary additive solution, changed the binary additive solution into the state of the ice slurry. The ice slurry was composed of ice crystals and the carrier fluid of aqueous solution of glucose. Air cooler used the copper pipe with 10 mm diameter and 1mm thickness, it was machined in spiral way. The purpose of this experimental study was to compare the operation performance of ice slurry and cold water in the air cooler, in order to test their respective cooling performance. The ice slurry was the better choice in the cooling system in terms of the cooling performance and the comfort degree.
