Abstract: In order to improve the fine management of MA/KA certification and better escort the safety of mining in China, this paper studies MSHA approval for mining products in the United States, including laws and regulations, products categories, approval processes, as well as distinctive practices in issuing versatile approval documents, utilizing social testing resources, and especially approval documents responding to mine operators’ demands. On the basis of the current situation of China MA/KA certification, this paper proposes some suggestions on further improving MA/KA certification in China.
