Abstract:
Aiming at the problem of coal spontaneous combustion in coal mine, a mine hydrogel with high water absorption and water retention, which is based on lignin, carboxymethyl cellulose and polyvinyl alcohol, has been developed by using chemical crosslinking method under alkaline condition. The swelling property and water retention property of hydrogels were studied, and the water absorption, yield and water retention rate of hydrogels with different ratio of raw materials were tested. The suitable ratio of the gel for coal mine fire prevention was selected, and the resistance property of the gel was analyzed by temperature programmed experiment. The results show that the hydrogels with high water absorption and water retention have good swelling and water retention properties and strong water fixation. The water absorption, yield and water retention of the hydrogels are affected by the mass concentration of raw materials. The programmed temperature experiment shows that the CO production in the process of coal spontaneous combustion is reduced by 38.09 %-52.78 % and the oxidation process of coal is inhibited by hydrogel.
