Abstract: This paper introduced three kinds of emulsion concentration detection schemes based on optical refraction, and the prism internal reflection method is chosen as the detection method. Several kinds of emulsions were prepared, their refractive indexes were measured by precise experiment, and the basic data of refractive index were obtained. The optical system structure and components of the prism reflection method are designed, and the resolution of the measuring system is calculated and analyzed.
