Abstract:
To select favorable area in the coalbed methane development, through forward modeling, the correlation between the maximum amplitude and the thickness of the coal seam is clarified, and the thicker area of the coal seam and the more developed area of mudstone on the roof and floor are classified. The coherence, curvature and ants were used to delineate the fracture zone. In addition, forward analysis verifies that the seismic attribute represented by root mean square has a good positive correlation with CBM content. Finally, taking the coal thickness, roof and floor mudstone, fracture development conditions, development conditions of coalbed methane enrichment as the basic conditions, Ⅰ favorable blocks and Ⅱ favorable blocks in the research area are determined to facilitate the design and development of wells and the coal bed methane extraction in the late stage.
