Abstract: Based on the status of Shendong Mining Area facing the threat of external cause fire, goaf spontaneous combustion and small coal mine fire area, combined with the situation of fire monitoring and management in Shendong Company, according to different types of fire, the suggestions for controlling countermeasures were given. It is found that external cause fire control is difficult, goaf spontaneous combustion is long-term threat, small coal mine fire area is real burst threat in Shendong Mining Area. Shendong Company established and improved the fire preventing and extinguishing organization, formulated and perfected the rules and regulations on fire preventing and extinguishing, evaluated fire hazard risk in advance and implemented scheme of fire preventing and extinguishing technology, fire preventing and extinguishing achieved remarkable achievement, but it still needs to implement fire prevention measures according to different types of fire to increase the intensity of fire prevention and control in order to realize the safe and efficient production of Shendong Mining Area.
