Abstract:
In order to study the influence of ignition energy on methane explosion limit, this experiment selects the pulse ignition way. A single pulse energy was calibrated to meet the minimum ignition of 0.28 mJ when the methane concentration was 8.9%. On this basis, the ignition energy can be selected as 0.7, 2.2, 3.7, 5.2, 9.6, 26, 106, 241 mJ. The experimental results show that the upper limit of methane explosion will increase and the lower limint will decrease with the increase of ignition energy. The increase (decrease) tendency of upper (lower) limit of methane explosion is obviously when the ignition energy is 0.7 mJ to 26 mJ. When the ignition energy is 106 mJ to 241 mJ, the increase (decrease) tendency of upper (lower) limit of methane explosion is gentle. Compared with the upper and lower limit, it can be seen that the influence of ignition energy on the upper limit of methane explosion is greater than that of the lower explosive limit.
