Abstract: To achieve safe, fast and efficient excavation and mining of protective layer, mining 7^# coal seam played an unloading pressure protective role to 12^# coal seam, the effect of coal pillar formed distressed zone and coal pillar affected zone. Reasonable outburst prevention measures and gas outburst effect test were made for the coal in different affected areas, by theoretical analysis and field investigation, combining with mining engineering practice of 1201 mining area, the regional outburst prevention methods and experience are summarized after the protective layer mining.
