Abstract: Ordovician limestone water is one of the main disasters in 11^# seam mining of Sangshuping Coal Mine. The comprehensivecontrol scheme of using horizontal directional drilling technology to detect and release 11^# coal seamOrdovician limestone water in floor is proposed, and the drilling trajectory is control to extend at target horizon in a pre-designed direction. Practice proves that directional water detection and water release hole can accurately detect the watery of Ordovician limestone water in 11^# coal seam floor and provide safety for the mining.
