Abstract:
For the phenomenon that seriously broken roof and severe deformation and crack in higher coal-side in trapezoid roadway of steeply dipping working face, taking railway roadway at 3402 working face of Chenmanzhuang Coal Mine as background, combined with field practice and UDEC
2D numerical simulation, surrounding rock failure characteristics in rectangular roadway and trapezoid roadway were compared. Based on the failure characteristics of triangle coal in rectangular roadway roof, pentagon roadway section form was proposed. Roadway cross section, section supporting length and surrounding rock stability of three kinds of roadway were compared. Results show that in steeply dipping working face, compared with rectangular roadway, pentagon roadway enlarged the mining activity space effectively and reasonably abandoned part of the roof triangle coal that is difficult to support. Compared with trapezoid roadway, pentagon roadway decreased the roadway supporting cost and increased the stability of immediate roof and coal sides. Therefore, pentagon roadway is more fit to the safe and effective production of steeply dipping working face.
