Abstract:
The structure and performance of the wire rope determines the safety and reliability of the hoisting system, the stress distribution is uneven after the twist of wire rope, which accelerates the failure of the wire rope. In this paper, the model of fiber rope core for steel wire rope with different twist is established. The correctness of the model is verified by using the finite element software ABAQUS. The results show that under the same torque, the stress of the right lang lay is greater than right regular lay, the performance of right regular lay is superior to the right lang lay. The stress distribution of the two kinds of wire ropes is not uniform, showing some of regularity.
