Abstract:
On the basis of heat conduction theory, we derived the formula of maximum flash temperature on the surface of the rock friction. Combined with the actual situation, the theoretical analysis of possibilities and influencing factors about gas burning ignited by rock friction were performed. Theoretically, under the right conditions, the surface flash temperature of rock friction is sufficient to ignite gas. The ignition capability of rock friction is influenced by a number of factors, such as physical and thermodynamic properties of rock, mechanical properties of rock, structural characteristics of the friction surface, structure size of roof strata, load on roof strata, and relative sliding velocity between the rocks and so on.
