3 gas tank as an example, ANSYS finite element modeling software is used to simulate and analyze the influence of tilt and curvature caused by coal mining on gas tank. The critical deformation value is obtained and the mechanism of mining subsidence damage to the gas tank is further discussed. The experimental results show that the maximum stress value is in the fillet weld and the tank wall and the edge plate is warped with the understructure in a natural state, while the stress of intermediate plate is very small; the critical tilt value is similar to the "code for design of steel tank foundation"; the positive curvature has relatively large effect and the critical value is 0.11 mm
-1, while negative curvature has little effect and usually does not cause structural damage to the gas tank.
