Taking gob-side entry retaining of 8
224 working face in Qidong Coal Mine as the study object, we made numerical simulation for gob-side entry retaining, analyzed stress distribution, deformation characteristics and failure mechanisms of the roadway, and proposed a corresponding reinforcement technology. Experience has proved that the combined supporting with bolting-shotcreting-grouting can guarantee the roadway which was left successfully, and effectively solve the problem of gas overrun at working face, realized safety mining at high gas coal seam, and got better social economic effects.
