Abstract:
In order to solve the problems that large surrounding rock stress concentration, instability of surrounding rock, long time and large hanging roof on the condition of using gob-side entry retaining in hard roof, we proposes roof pre-splitting gob-side entry retaining way based on directional blasting theory which can control the caving condition of roof along the gob. It not only forms new roadway sides by large pieces of caved waste rock after grouting and sealing, but also save much money by relieving roadside support. Combined with the theory of fracture mechanics, the blasting parameters, such as the hole charge
q and hole spacing
S, were derived. The research results were applied to practice successfully.
