Abstract:
Through studying the method and principle of using mine direct current resistivity method and channel wave seismic exploration technique to explore coal bed thinning belt, we find that when channel wave go through the area with fault or changed seams its energy will gather to this area, its first arrival has significant response to the thinning coal area, thus the plane distribution of thinning coal area could be got accurately. Mine direct current resistivity method has significant response of low resistivity to the thinning coal area which was filled with relative low resistivity surrounding rock, it not only can detect and delineate the range of thinning coal area within fully mechanized mining working face, but also the range of thinning coal area within single side of roadway. Using these two methods to detect thinning coal area at 1001 working face in Huangling No.1 Coal Mine, these two methods are complementary integrated interpretation, and delineate area that coal seam is thinner than 1.6 meter that could not be mined, and which is verified well.
