Abstract:
In order to have a correct understanding for end-face stability of thick coal seam height mining, we used theoretical analysis and numerical simulation method to study the end-face stability of thick seam with large mining height mining. The results show that working resistance of support, mechanical properties of coal rock and the angle of coal seam are the major influence factors of end-face stability. Corresponding measures to control the end-face stability are proposed to prevent the falling of end-face stability including roof grouting, improving roof strength, and improving support resistance.
