Abstract:
Strong outburst coal seam has high gas pressure and gas content which leads to serious outburst disaster. It is difficult to adopt the method of traditional pre-drainage gas and protective seam mining on coal seam with strong outburst danger. In this article, based on theoretical analysis and field practice, we proposed a new idea for CBM reservoir reconstruction. Namely, we determined the first-mined coal seam according to the principle of safety and economy, and used surface borehole to reconstruct the first-mined seam. The surface borehole is beneficial to extract the CBM of first-mined seam, and eliminate its outburst risk. During the mining process of the first-mined seam, the previous surface borehole is used to extract the relieved methane of strong outburst danger coal seam, and the outburst risk of it could be eliminated as well. Combining present gas control methods and ground CBM extraction methods together in the underground coal mines, the proposed technology could effectively recover CBM resources and promote coal mining safety simultaneously.
