Abstract:
Based on the theory of coal mining induced overburden failure, the feasibility of fully mechanized caving mining and safety mining technical scheme were studied according to the space relationship of coal seam and overlying water accumulated gob. The article analyzed the geology and mining condition of a certain coal mine in Kuche Xinjiang province, and estimated the height of overburden failure by analogy of actual measurement data from fully mechanized caving mining workface in domestic coal mines which have the analogous conditions. It also considered the mining influence on the overlying aquifers especially the accumulated water in gob, evaluated the reliability of fully mechanized caving mining under short distance water accumulated gob, and the technical scheme of "detection by geophysical prospecting, verification by drilling and mining after draining" was proposed, safety mining of 1005 workface was finally achieved.
