Abstract:
The problems of waterproof coal pillar design for current coal mine were introduced briefly, the several test methods of coal tensile strength were discussed, and more reliable conclusions had been obtained through the analysis and comparison of these methods. The in-situ test method should be used as much as possible for the tensile strength test if the test condition was possible. Sleeve fracturing method in the laboratory aspects had relative accuracy and easy operation, which could be promoted in the course of practice. It was proposed that strengthening the study of basic physical properties of coal to seek new methods of coal and rock tensile strength test.
