Abstract:
5G wireless communication technology has the characteristics of high bandwidth, wide connectivity, and low latency, and has been demonstrated and applied in the coal mining industry. It is an important component of intelligent coal mine construction. However, due to its complex networking and bulky size, it has been subject to many limitations in application promotion. Based on the characteristics of intelligent mines, this study deeply analyzes the 5G network topology, and integrates the BBU base station controller, PB base station aggregator, and pRRU base station to simplify the network topology. At the same time, the explosion-proof design of 5G base stations has been changed from explosion-proof design to intrinsic safety design, which reduces the volume and weight of 5G base stations. In response to the positioning and communication requirements of intelligent mines, UWB and Wi-Fi 6 technologies are integrated to form a positioning and communication integrated base station. And experiments were conducted at Jiayang Coal Mine in Sichuan Province. The test results showed that the integrated positioning and communication base station is easy to install and maintain, and can be directly installed in hazardous areas such as working faces. It can effectively solve communication and positioning problems and fully meet the basic needs of intelligent mines for communication and positioning. It is an important tool for the construction of intelligent mines.
